Important Drop-Off and Pick-Up Reminders

Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up:
  • Drop-offs and Pick-ups occur in the North lot only.
  • Drop-offs form ONLY ONE line.
  • Pick-ups form two lines.
  • While in line: please stay IN car, don't block driveway.
  • Students exit/enter car at the curb only.
Life Academic and Preschool Student Drop-Off:
  • Park in the designated 6 spots or disabled parking (if applicable).
  • A supervisor will greet your student.
  • Drop/Pick-up and go!
These guidelines are meant to keep our students safe. Do NOT pass others while exiting or entering. Do NOT turn left out of the parking lot no matter how clear it may look, this will slow down the process. Please remember this line must keep moving. Drop/Pick-up and go!

Notes from Nurse Liberty:

We are in need of clothing donations! Leggings and sweatpants are the best, in sizes 6 and 8 for both boys and girls. We also really need underwear in the same sizes. If you are able to help with these items, please bring them into our front office as soon as possible.
Does your student need medication at school? Just a friendly reminder that all medications should be in their original packaging and require an updated medication authorization every year. The form must be turned in with your students medication on or before the first day of school. Please click on the button below to access the form online. Our fax # is 425-366-2602. Thank you, Nurse Liberty.

First Day Packet Is Digital!

For efficiency, the district has put together a much smaller, translated version of the first-day packet that goes home with students at the beginning of the school year that directs families to the Back to School webpage. Most information will now be shared and collected through the website and/or ParentSquare to provide accessibility in more languages and to save paper.

Free Breakfast and Lunch

All students at Columbia will receive Breakfast and Lunch for free again this year. We encourage all of our families to fill out the district forms to see if they qualify for any other services.

Cougar Attendance Matters!

Did you know that just TWO absent days a month can make it harder for your student to stay on track? We care about your student's attendance! If you need support, please call us at (425) 366-2600. If your student is absent, please contact our 24 Hour attendance line at (425) 366-2605. Please include: Student First and Last Name, Date of absence, and Reason for absence. We will only return your call if we have questions.

Early Pick-Up
If your child will be leaving early, families/guardians will need to send a note, email the teacher or call the office on the main line at 425-366-2600. (Avoid calling between 8:45-9:15 AM) Please do not leave a message on the attendance line. Please avoid picking up during their lunch, recess or time with specialists, as it may take extra time to retrieve your student. Only an authorized person may take a child from school. Any student being dismissed prior to the regular dismissal time must be met in the office and must be signed out by the parent/guardian or authorized person picking them up.

Pre-Arranged Absence
Any absence not specifically covered, such as family vacations or other extended absence, must have a Principal approved pre-arranged absence form in order to be excused. This form must be submitted to the school office one week prior to the scheduled absence.
