If we do not raise enough funds, programs might be cut, including grants for classrooms.

Coffee With The Principal:

Every year, each school is required to write a School Improvement Plan (SIP). The SIP, in conjunction with the Mukilteo School District Strategic Plan, helps guide our action steps for continuous growth and improvement at Columbia Elementary. Are you interested in hearing more about our SIP and goals for the year and providing feedback? If so, you are invited to Coffee with the Principal.
When: Tuesday, November 22, 9-10AM
Where: Columbia Elementary
Why: Learn about the School Improvement Plan and give feedback If you are interested, please fill out this brief Google form.

Your Voice Matters:

There is still time to register to vote! Oct. 27th is the last date to register to vote online or by mail. If you’ve moved, changed your last name or just arrived in the county, make sure you update your registration by Oct. 27th. You can check your voter registration status on Snohomish County’s website. *Note: 16 and 17-year-olds may pre-register but will not appear in the look-up system or receive a voter registration card until their 18th birthday.

Read-A-Thon We are on the home stretch! Keep up your efforts! It's not too late to register and share. For more information, go to our Read A Thon website.  Last day is Oct. 19th! Every donation makes a difference!

Our next general meeting will take place on Thursday, October 23 at 6PM via ZOOM. We'll cover the results of Read-A-Thon, request feedback and ideas for next year's fundraiser, talk about book fair, STEAM night and other upcoming winter activities.

Columbia Elementary PTA invites students to participate in the Reflections Art Program! This year’s theme is, “I Belong.” Students can submit entries in one or all of the following categories: visual arts, literature, dance choreography, music composition, photography, and film. Entries can be submitted to teachers or placed in the Columbia PTA mailbox at school. Deadline for entries is November 13, 2025. More information can be found on our Reflections page.

We Still Need Many Volunteers:

  • Scholastic Book Fair (10/31-11/7): Set-up, cashiering and break down. sign-up here
  • STEAM Night (11/6): Facilitate activities hosted by Mathnasium and Imagine Childrens Museum sign-up here

Running Club and Popcorn Fridays:

We have Running Club every Friday EXCEPT on Popcorn Fridays! Here are the dates for Popcorn Friday so you don't need to worry about tennis shoes those days:

Popcorn Friday is the second Friday of every month.

There are two different ways to let us know your student will be absent. Both are available 24 hours a day.
