Band, Choir and Orchestra Concert at HP - May 28th

Concert starts at 6:30pm on Thursday the 28th

Band performers:
  • No after school rehearsal
  • Arrive between 5:45-6:00
  • Dress in black and white

Choir & Orchestra Performers:
  • Arrive at 5:45
  • For choir, skirts, dresses, slacks, unripped jeans, button ups and collared shirts are acceptable. 
  • Orchestra is black dresses, skirts, pants, and black or white shirt.
 

SBA Testing in May and June:

Our 3rd-5th graders will be taking their Washington State Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) test in May and June. Please avoid scheduling appointments for these dates. Ensure your child arrives at school on time. Try to have your child get a good night’s rest and have them eat a healthy breakfast. Breakfast is available at school 8:30-8:55 every day.

3rd Grade:
  • 6/1 and 6/2 Math CT and PT
4th grade:
  • 5/18 and 5/19 ELA CAT and PT
  • 6/3 and 6/4 Math CT and PT
5th Grade:
  • 5/20 and 5/21 ELA CAT and PT
  • 5/27 and 5/28 Math CT and PT

May 29: Beach Day
To celebrate the end of the school year, Columbia PTA is hosting a family beach day at Mukilteo Lighthouse Park from 4-7PM. We will have free food and bring back the book swap from last year. To help us know how much food to prepare, please RSVP HERE.

We will also need many volunteers and donations to make this event a success. Please sign-up to help or donate items here.

Beach Day Book Swap!
Please join Columbia PTA for a Book Swap at Beach Day! This is a fun opportunity for families (and staff) to share gently used books and find new books to read.  Bringing books is not required to participate!
  • What to bring:  New or gently used Children’s Books Appropriate for K-6 grade (no more than one bag or box per family)
  • What not to bring: Moldy, soiled, or torn books. We cannot accept textbooks, manuals, Adult books, more than one bag/box of books.
If you have books to share, but can’t bring them to Beach Day, email Tran at president@mycolumbiapta.org . Unclaimed books will be donated to teachers or local charity.

Students Leaving Columbia?

If you are not returning to Columbia for the 2026-2027 school year, please notify our office as soon as possible at 425-366-2612 or send an email to Ana Sierra at columbia@mukilteo.wednet.edu This allows us to make room for new students moving into our school and records can be sent to the new school. You can also use this form to let us know.
 

Kindergarten and ECEAP Registration:

Kindergarten registration for the 2026-2027 school year is now open!
**If your student is already enrolled in a preschool program in the Mukilteo School District, you DO NOT need to register, your student will automatically move up.**
If you or someone you know has a child who will be five years old by Aug. 31, it’s time to register for kindergarten. Families can register online 24 hrs a day or in person at their neighborhood school between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. ECEAP
Will your child be ready for Kindergarten? Mukilteo ECEAP Preschool can help! We are now accepting applications for the upcoming school year. Morning and afternoon classes are held Mon - Thur. Children must be 3 or 4 by August 31st. Free (income eligible) slots are available. We are located at 3616 South Road #C4, Mukilteo, WA 98275.
